About the Owners
Kyle and Rebbecca Morgan are the hands-on owners and operators of Trico Lumber Co. Kyle and Rebbecca have been married for over 30 years and have two children, Jordan Godwin and Judson Morgan. Jordan is married to Derrik Godwin and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M University - College Station and a 2011 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Masters of Architecture. Judson is a 2013 graduate of the University of Texas - Tyler with an MBA in business. They now live in Hughes Springs and work in the family business. Kyle has worked in the lumber and hardware business all of his life, joining the company after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with an accounting degree. Kyle and Rebbecca have solely owned Trico Lumber Co. since May 1991.
About our Company
The Trico Lumber Company has grown by leaps and bounds since opening in 1980 in Hughes Springs, Texas. Established in 1980 by David Beard and Marvin Morgan, Kyle Morgan began working for the Trico Lumber Co. in 1983. Rebbecca, joined the company in 1984. By 1991, Kyle and Rebbecca Morgan bought the business. Reflecting on our success, Kyle has said, "Trico made it through because we developed a good base of builders who were loyal to us. Our local customers have helped us stay steady through the rough times. We appreciate the relationships we have had with customers in the past and always welcome new customers."
